Georgia Edwards, Program Coordinator, Video as Evidence
Georgia works in the Video as Evidence team at WITNESS to support the use of audiovisual documentation in community-led justice and accountability processes.
Previously, she worked at Airwars, building and using their public audiovisual archive for advocacy and impact projects, alongside producing their open-source research into allegations of civilian harm in multiple conflicts across the world.
Georgia is also interested in developing independent community media and radio, as a founder of impact production agency, ooto. She is currently a non-executive Director of investigative media co-op the Bristol Cable, and previously took part in their Media Lab trainee programme for investigative journalists.
Georgia has a BSc in Politics and International Relations, and a LLM in Human Rights Law from Birbeck, the University of London, where she focused on critical legal studies, with a specific interest in emerging technologies and their uses in disrupting or upholding hegemonic and official state narratives.
